Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 24, 2026

The short version: Squishy 2048 does not collect, store, or share any personal data. It never asks who you are. It does count anonymously which parts of the game get played, so the next thing built is the thing worth building. Ads are non-personalized, so no tracking.

Data We Collect

No personal information. Squishy 2048 never asks for your name, email, location, contacts or photos, and there is no account to sign into.

The app does use Google Analytics for Firebase to count how the game is played. It records anonymous events such as a run starting and ending, opening the squish farm, running out of plays, and whether a rewarded video was watched. Alongside these it collects an app-generated device identifier (Apple's Vendor Identifier on iOS, a Firebase instance ID) so that two sessions can be told apart. This identifier is not your Advertising Identifier, is not shared with data brokers, and is not used to track you across other apps or websites.

None of it identifies you. There is no name attached, and nothing that could be used to contact you. You can reset the identifier at any time by deleting and reinstalling the app.

Local Storage

The app stores game state on your device using the platform's standard local storage (UserDefaults on iOS, SharedPreferences on Android). This includes your high scores per difficulty, audio and haptics preferences, your chosen theme, and whether you've completed the tutorial. None of it leaves your device.

Advertising

Squishy 2048 shows ads from Google AdMob to support the free version of the game, including an optional rewarded ad that grants a continue after a failed run or a refill of plays. Ads are configured as non-personalized only:

On iOS, Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork is used for ad attribution (so Google can confirm an ad led to an install). SKAdNetwork is anonymous and does not share any personal information. On Android, the app does not read your Advertising ID for personalization.

In-App Purchases

Squishy 2048 offers two optional purchases: a one-time "Remove Ads", and a pack of Squish Tokens to spend at the squish farm. Both are handled entirely by the platform's store: Apple's App Store on iOS, Google Play Billing on Android. We do not see, receive, or store your payment information. The app records locally whether a purchase has been completed, and the fact that a purchase happened is counted in the anonymous analytics above.

Removing Ads

Once the Remove Ads purchase is complete, the app stops requesting ads from AdMob entirely, and no further calls are made to Google's ad network.

Leaderboards

Squishy 2048 optionally submits your best score to a leaderboard for each difficulty (easy, normal, and hard) through Apple's Game Center on iOS, and Google Play Games Services on Android. Sign-in and leaderboard data are handled entirely by the platform under Apple's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy. The app never sees your Apple ID or Google account, and if you decline sign-in, the game works normally with scores kept only on your device.

Children

Squishy 2048 is rated for all ages. Because the app does not collect personal information and does not show personalized ads, it complies with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and analogous regulations in other jurisdictions.

Third Parties

Squishy 2048 integrates with Google AdMob (for non-personalized advertising) and, optionally, the platform leaderboard service, either Apple Game Center or Google Play Games Services. Apple and Google are the platform hosts rather than third parties in the privacy sense: purchases and app distribution go through the App Store and Google Play's standard mechanisms.

Changes to This Policy

If the app's privacy practices change, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Material changes will be reflected in an in-app notice as well.
