A home of its own
A cozy house on a floating island
Your friend lives in a little wooden house, with a bonsai by the window and a red donut bed up in the loft. Outside, a cherry tree leans over a stone lantern, and a koi pond spills over a waterfall at the island's edge.
It climbs the stairs to sleep and waits by its bowl when it's hungry. The sky keeps time with your day: blue mornings, a rosy dusk, then stars and glowing lanterns.

Walks
Walk together through the countryside
Choose a time, a step goal or simply wander. Your friend trots beside you along a winding stone path: under torii gates, down a cherry-blossom avenue, past bamboo, rice terraces and a hillside shrine, over little bridges and out to a lake beneath the mountain.
Other walkers' pets pass you on the way. And tucked in the grass there are little finds: acorns, pinecones, cherry petals and, once in a while, a blue feather.

Set a goal with the Digital Crown and head out. Your friend walks toward you across a little meadow while your steps and heart rate tick along.
Saved to Apple Health
Walks from the watch are saved as walking workouts, so they count toward your rings.

Questions
How does Step Tomo count my steps?
It reads your steps from Apple Health, which already brings your iPhone and Apple Watch together, and counts live steps while you walk. Your Health data stays on your devices.
Which pet will I get?
Who's inside your first egg is a surprise until it hatches: Sprig, Kindle, Trundle, Puff or Scout. Later you can pick the egg you'd like for 2,000 coins.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. Step Tomo works on iPhone alone. With an Apple Watch your pet also lives on your wrist, in complications and in the Smart Stack, and you can start walks from the watch.
What if I have a lazy day?
Your friend gets peckish, never sick. A short walk perks it right up, and nothing you've grown together is taken away.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your Health data and walk routes never leave your devices. We keep a small backup of your pets and progress under an anonymous ID, so a reinstall brings them back, and your email only if you sign up for news. Privacy policy.
